Nestled in the Villa de Valle condominium complex in northern Arcata, Villa de Valle Community Garden has been growing for several years. Many perennials are included in this organic garden, designed utilizing “lasagna style” permaculture principles to be low-maintenance. We also have beds for annuals and a new kiosk for posting information. (The garden is located at the end of Valley West Blvd, before it turns into Valley East Blvd and behind Laurel Tree Preschool.) This community has the potential to serve as an urban demonstration of a functioning sustainable community—with the Garden at its core. For more information or to get involved please contact us!
